Narrative:
15 NM from clt on unarm arrival runway changed from 18R to runway 23. STAR has new turn at 10 NM to heading 360 degrees. Flew approximately 2 mi past point and informed by ATC that we missed turn. Turn is new addition to STAR and ambiguous. 050 degree heading issued for radar vectors to runway 23. Supplemental information from acn 216182: inbound on unarm 9 arrival for runway 18R at clt. On STAR at 10 DME you are instructed to turn to 360 degree heading if landing south. This is denoted by a small 'C' note. At 15 DME they changed our runway to runway 23. We did not make the turn until 8 DME. This note is mixed in with many numbers and is very difficult to see. It is fairly ambiguous and hard to read.
