Narrative:
I was on downwind for 36 (right traffic). Traffic also landing at same airport is northbound, he should be entering a base leg. I have visual on light transport Z. I do not see small aircraft Y going north. No advisories from tower. Finally when I am ready to turn base the tower asks small aircraft Y his position. He reports same location as me, he then passes on my left, opposite direction. I asked the controller why he put me on a head-on with small aircraft Y. He tried to blame me for it. Controller was more interested in the light transport's landing first. He extended me on downwind. He gave no TA's. He had no idea where the traffic was. There were only these 3 airplanes near this facility.
