Narrative:
Taking off from san carlos airport, at approximately 75-100 ft AGL. The engine lost power and I retarded the throttle to idle and landed in the remaining runway. Due to the length of the field I went off the end into the dirt blowing one tire. The cause of the power loss is still unknown.

Title: PLT OF SMA SEL ACFT EXPERIENCED ENG FAILURE RIGHT AFTER TKOF AND MADE FORCED LNDG.
Narrative: TAKING OFF FROM SAN CARLOS ARPT, AT APPROX 75-100 FT AGL. THE ENG LOST PWR AND I RETARDED THE THROTTLE TO IDLE AND LANDED IN THE REMAINING RWY. DUE TO THE LENGTH OF THE FIELD I WENT OFF THE END INTO THE DIRT BLOWING ONE TIRE. THE CAUSE OF THE PWR LOSS IS STILL UNKNOWN.
