Narrative:
TCASII had traffic 12-12:30, 700 ft high. As we got closer TCASII said to descend and prompted a rate of 1200-1500 FPM. Assigned altitude was 11000. Center informed us we were to be at 11000 and we told center the TCASII went off at 10300, all clear was given by TCASII, and began an immediate climb back to 11000. Visual verification of target was witnessed by 2 crew members. Serious conflict. TCASII works!
