Narrative:
After an uneventful taxi and runup, I checked traffic inbound and only saw 1 aircraft on base leg. I announced my intentions to depart, and quickly taxied out and completed the takeoff. I had taxied onto the runway directly into the path of an airplane on short final, I had not discovered the mistake until I saw the airplane directly off my right side. He had made a successful evasive maneuver over the taxiway. I later discovered the volume on the radio was too low to receive any transmissions, thus not hearing any traffic calls. The morning sun was also a factor, which was directly behind the incoming traffic, causing me to look directly into it. I was also rushed to depart, and in haste I failed to double check the radio.
