Narrative:
Upon takeoff of runway 36 at approximately 600 ft AGL, my engine sputtered, then quit. Declared immediate emergency, squawked 7700 and received clearance to land on any hard surface on airport. Did restart checklist. Engine caught approximately 100 ft AGL, climbed a few hundred ft and made a shallow 180 degree left turn back to runway 18 and landed without incident.
