Narrative:
#2 engine turbine section came apart during takeoff atl runway 26L, approximately 400 ft. We were at normal takeoff thrust. Aircraft flew well. We kept the wing dirty, and flew a visual pattern to runway 26R. Single engine landing was uneventful. Copilot, flight attendants, tower and crash crew were all performing well. All cockpit procedures and post event paper work were completed.

Title: MLG ACR ACFT ENG FAILURE AFTER TKOF DURING INITIAL CLB RESULTING IN THE FLC RETURN TO LAND.
Narrative: #2 ENG TURBINE SECTION CAME APART DURING TKOF ATL RWY 26L, APPROX 400 FT. WE WERE AT NORMAL TKOF THRUST. ACFT FLEW WELL. WE KEPT THE WING DIRTY, AND FLEW A VISUAL PATTERN TO RWY 26R. SINGLE ENG LNDG WAS UNEVENTFUL. COPLT, FLT ATTENDANTS, TWR AND CRASH CREW WERE ALL PERFORMING WELL. ALL COCKPIT PROCS AND POST EVENT PAPER WORK WERE COMPLETED.
