Narrative:
Altitude deviation in response to TCASII RA. While on acton arrival to dfw, level at 11000 ft, TCASII commanded a 'climb' in response to traffic climbing to 10000 ft from dfw. My aircraft climbed to 11600 ft in response then returned to assigned altitude. Because of the climb, we were unable to meet required altitude and airspeed restrictions of 11000 ft and 210 KTS at aqn 040/32. Conflict aircraft passed well below.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: FLC OF AN ACR MLG ACFT DEVIATED FROM ASSIGNED ALT AND XING RESTRICTION AIRSPD IN RESPONSE TO A TCASII RA.
Narrative: ALTDEV IN RESPONSE TO TCASII RA. WHILE ON ACTON ARR TO DFW, LEVEL AT 11000 FT, TCASII COMMANDED A 'CLB' IN RESPONSE TO TFC CLBING TO 10000 FT FROM DFW. MY ACFT CLBED TO 11600 FT IN RESPONSE THEN RETURNED TO ASSIGNED ALT. BECAUSE OF THE CLB, WE WERE UNABLE TO MEET REQUIRED ALT AND AIRSPD RESTRICTIONS OF 11000 FT AND 210 KTS AT AQN 040/32. CONFLICT ACFT PASSED WELL BELOW.
