Narrative:
This was a standard TCASII RA maneuver. Traffic at 12 O'clock, 5 mi, opposite direction. VFR at 9600 ft. We were IFR on approach control at 10000 ft. TCASII TA followed by RA 'climb.' climbed to 10700 ft followed by 'monitor vertical speed' and 'clear of conflict.' ATC was in radio contact with the VFR traffic but never issued us a TA? ATC indicated no conflict. Supplemental information from acn 242653: ATC was called on ground. No other ATC conflict encountered.
