Narrative:
In response to a TCASII 'RA' while at 28000 ft I disconnected autoplt and began a climb in response to TCASII instructions. The aural 'clear of conflict command was received at 28600 ft and we were able to complete a level off by 29300 ft. The only visual contact with the traffic was its contrail. Ord center was advised of the deviation and we were relcred to FL280.

Title: AN ACR MLG CLBED IN RESPONSE TO A TCASII COMMAND.
Narrative: IN RESPONSE TO A TCASII 'RA' WHILE AT 28000 FT I DISCONNECTED AUTOPLT AND BEGAN A CLB IN RESPONSE TO TCASII INSTRUCTIONS. THE AURAL 'CLR OF CONFLICT COMMAND WAS RECEIVED AT 28600 FT AND WE WERE ABLE TO COMPLETE A LEVEL OFF BY 29300 FT. THE ONLY VISUAL CONTACT WITH THE TFC WAS ITS CONTRAIL. ORD CTR WAS ADVISED OF THE DEV AND WE WERE RELCRED TO FL280.
