Narrative:

Our clearance was to climb to FL230, which we were doing. Climbing through 10300 ft ATC requested a 2000 FPM climb. Climbing through 15200 ft, ATC told us to maintain 15000 ft, and turn right 30 degrees, traffic 12 O'clock. We stopped climbing, and started descending back to 15000 ft immediately, while simultaneously commencing a 30 degree bank to the right. We saw traffic appear in blue on the TCASII. The traffic then changed to amber, followed by red and accompanied by an RA to descend. We descended to 14700 ft when the voice from the TCASII advised that we were clear of conflict. We then advised ATC that we took evasive action due to a TCASII RA.
