Narrative:

While level at 10000 ft MSL with no information from ATC of approaching traffic, the captain and I noticed an aircraft at our altitude on TCASII. Continued observation of aircraft on TCASII showed no change in altitude and aircraft fast becoming a conflict. This was confirmed by TCASII 3-4 seconds later with an RA and TCASII command to descend. The captain immediately descended to approximately 9600 ft MSL when we received a clear of conflict and climbed back to 10000 ft. ATC had very little information throughout this situation. The captain's performance was flawless and his quick reaction to this situation was impressive.
