Narrative:
En route from oak to san we were advised that there was a passenger onboard who was ill and required immediate medical attention. It appeared that bur was the closest and most immediate airport available with EMS amenities available. We received direct bur and was cleared to 'keep our speed up.' in the process of expediting we exceeded 250 KIAS below 10000 ft. We did not declare an emergency, we only received priority handling.
