Narrative:
Flight was on final approach in landing confign and was cleared to land. Call from flight attendant to advise us that a passenger had suddenly taken ill and had apparently collapsed and was lying in the aisle. Rather than trying to place passenger back in seat and possibly risk further injury, I decided to continue approach and land the aircraft after requesting paramedics meet the aircraft at the gate. The paramedics arrived at the gate almost immediately and assisted the ill passenger. The alternative of executing a go around, having the flight attendants attempt to place the passenger back in his seat, and prepare for another landing attempt would, I felt, have served no safety purpose and would definitely have delayed the passenger from receiving professional medical care. Supplemental information from acn 260289: the captain was flying and I answered the interphone. I asked the flight attendant if the passenger could get into a seat. She said he had said if he moved he would pass out. I told tower we had an ill passenger and requested paramedics. We landed with the passenger in the aisle.

Title: MLG ON FINAL APCH HAS CALL FROM CABIN ATTENDANT REGARDING SICK PAX IN AISLE. DECIDE TO LAND.
Narrative: FLT WAS ON FINAL APCH IN LNDG CONFIGN AND WAS CLRED TO LAND. CALL FROM FLT ATTENDANT TO ADVISE US THAT A PAX HAD SUDDENLY TAKEN ILL AND HAD APPARENTLY COLLAPSED AND WAS LYING IN THE AISLE. RATHER THAN TRYING TO PLACE PAX BACK IN SEAT AND POSSIBLY RISK FURTHER INJURY, I DECIDED TO CONTINUE APCH AND LAND THE ACFT AFTER REQUESTING PARAMEDICS MEET THE ACFT AT THE GATE. THE PARAMEDICS ARRIVED AT THE GATE ALMOST IMMEDIATELY AND ASSISTED THE ILL PAX. THE ALTERNATIVE OF EXECUTING A GAR, HAVING THE FLT ATTENDANTS ATTEMPT TO PLACE THE PAX BACK IN HIS SEAT, AND PREPARE FOR ANOTHER LNDG ATTEMPT WOULD, I FELT, HAVE SERVED NO SAFETY PURPOSE AND WOULD DEFINITELY HAVE DELAYED THE PAX FROM RECEIVING PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL CARE. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION FROM ACN 260289: THE CAPT WAS FLYING AND I ANSWERED THE INTERPHONE. I ASKED THE FLT ATTENDANT IF THE PAX COULD GET INTO A SEAT. SHE SAID HE HAD SAID IF HE MOVED HE WOULD PASS OUT. I TOLD TWR WE HAD AN ILL PAX AND REQUESTED PARAMEDICS. WE LANDED WITH THE PAX IN THE AISLE.
