Narrative:
On a VFR flight from sun valley, identification, to borrego springs, ca. While cruising at 11500 ft, an F16 came along side and then a king air. Finally made contact with king air on guard frequency and then went to 122.9 gave them my information etc. I was flying a new (to me) aircraft (aerostar 601P) and using a new (to me) handheld trimble GPS. On recreating the incident I must have let the drift get me off course and into the MOA and restr area. It was not my intent to penetrate the restr area and I apologized to the controller when I called on the ground at borrego. The next morning the FAA called and said I would hear from them within the next 30 days. I don't know what the final disposition will be, but I've no violations in 17000 hours of flying, many and most from your backyard at palo alto.
