Narrative:
I wrote up a fuel totalizer and deferred it in accordance with our MEL, which compliance with this MEL requires the fuel flow and content gauges be operative. Also, under our MEL, the inoperative gauge has to be placarded, which I did. The problem arose during a quick turn around and a thorough review of the aircraft log was not performed due to all other duties involved during a quick turn because we were running late. This still is not an excuse because the blame lies with me not reviewing the log. Had I reviewed the log I would have seen someone had already written up and deferred one of the fuel flow gauges, but had forgotten to placard the gauge which is kind of a quick reference for the pilots.
