Narrative:
I was working the loves radar position combined with vikky and seall. I did not have a handoff person due to inadequate staffing. My natca rep had advised my area manager that staffing was below minimum by 2 controllers and that he should call in someone for overtime. The area manager refused to call anyone in. At XXXX, my supervisor advised me that he had taken a call from hvn tower and given them the control zone for a special VFR. 3 mins later, I answered a call from bdr advising me that the aircraft was clear of the control zone. I assumed that my supervisor mistakenly said 'hvn' instead of 'bdr' for the aircraft in the control zone. When I received this call, my supervisor was out of my area checking on the status of aircraft I was holding, so I couldn't verify this information. 11 mins later, I cleared atx X for the ILS 2 approach at hvn. I advised X that he was 3 mi from sallt and transferred communication to the tower. 14 mins later hvn tower advised that the special VFR aircraft was clear of their control zone.

Narrative: I WAS WORKING THE LOVES RADAR POS COMBINED WITH VIKKY AND SEALL. I DID NOT HAVE A HDOF PERSON DUE TO INADEQUATE STAFFING. MY NATCA REP HAD ADVISED MY AREA MGR THAT STAFFING WAS BELOW MINIMUM BY 2 CTLRS AND THAT HE SHOULD CALL IN SOMEONE FOR OVERTIME. THE AREA MGR REFUSED TO CALL ANYONE IN. AT XXXX, MY SUPVR ADVISED ME THAT HE HAD TAKEN A CALL FROM HVN TWR AND GIVEN THEM THE CTL ZONE FOR A SPECIAL VFR. 3 MINS LATER, I ANSWERED A CALL FROM BDR ADVISING ME THAT THE ACFT WAS CLR OF THE CTL ZONE. I ASSUMED THAT MY SUPVR MISTAKENLY SAID 'HVN' INSTEAD OF 'BDR' FOR THE ACFT IN THE CTL ZONE. WHEN I RECEIVED THIS CALL, MY SUPVR WAS OUT OF MY AREA CHKING ON THE STATUS OF ACFT I WAS HOLDING, SO I COULDN'T VERIFY THIS INFO. 11 MINS LATER, I CLRED ATX X FOR THE ILS 2 APCH AT HVN. I ADVISED X THAT HE WAS 3 MI FROM SALLT AND TRANSFERRED COM TO THE TWR. 14 MINS LATER HVN TWR ADVISED THAT THE SPECIAL VFR ACFT WAS CLR OF THEIR CTL ZONE.
