Narrative:

At night, early in takeoff roll, at uncontrolled kjan, captain aborted takeoff. 1 engine was slow to respond to power addition during takeoff power application. This shut down both packs and a spurious wind shear caution light illuminated simultaneously. Captain elected to terminate takeoff roll basically due to sensory overload with associated short confusion. This was early in takeoff roll and presented no operations problems whatsoever. Told FSS through unicom to keep IFR open with ZME. Reran all checklists, brake allowances, etc. 10 mins later, initiated normal takeoff. Both engines operations normal.
