Narrative:
F-100 was dispatched from clt to myr on mar/thu/94 with MEL #22-xy yaw damper channel 1 inoperative. MEL only requires one channel to be working. We flew the airplane from clt to myr for overnight, then on apr/fri/94 flew from myr to clt to dtw and dtw to clt. Dispatch called after I had arrived in clt at termination and advised me that the MEL had a time limit and expired on mar/thu/94 and that my 3 legs on the fri of april were possible violations. I was not aware of this until the dispatcher told me. Supplemental information from acn 267604: we did not check to see at what date and time the MEL expired. The MEL had an expiration date of 3/thu/94 at 2400 hours. I know we are the last link in the chain and are responsible for everything. I want to point out that all support leading to this problem was nonexistent. Maintenance control should have picked us up. The dispatcher should have picked this up in his preparation of the release.
