Narrative:
Air carrier X instructed to taxi to runway 9L via taxiway P. Tower advised that we had overrun hold bar by 100 ft, but no conflict. Crew never saw any hold bars (night, rain had ended in last hour), or red runway sign. When notified of overrun, aircraft was on green taxiway lights and blue taxiway lights observed on both sides of aircraft. Hold short area appears to be inadequately marked. May be due to large apron area where 4 parallel txwys (Q, P, M, north) merge. Need yellow taxi bar for hold short area. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: plans and procedures specialist at mia was contacted. Specialist stated that the airport signage and markings are in compliance with FAA standards. The airport had put flush hold bar lights across the taxiway but had to move them back 30 ft. The hold bar lines were moved back but the lights have not been reinstalled. Mia has not had any other complaints about the hold lines.

Title: RWY INCURSION ACR X CROSSED RWY HOLD LINE.
Narrative: ACR X INSTRUCTED TO TAXI TO RWY 9L VIA TXWY P. TWR ADVISED THAT WE HAD OVERRUN HOLD BAR BY 100 FT, BUT NO CONFLICT. CREW NEVER SAW ANY HOLD BARS (NIGHT, RAIN HAD ENDED IN LAST HR), OR RED RWY SIGN. WHEN NOTIFIED OF OVERRUN, ACFT WAS ON GREEN TXWY LIGHTS AND BLUE TXWY LIGHTS OBSERVED ON BOTH SIDES OF ACFT. HOLD SHORT AREA APPEARS TO BE INADEQUATELY MARKED. MAY BE DUE TO LARGE APRON AREA WHERE 4 PARALLEL TXWYS (Q, P, M, N) MERGE. NEED YELLOW TAXI BAR FOR HOLD SHORT AREA. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: PLANS AND PROCS SPECIALIST AT MIA WAS CONTACTED. SPECIALIST STATED THAT THE ARPT SIGNAGE AND MARKINGS ARE IN COMPLIANCE WITH FAA STANDARDS. THE ARPT HAD PUT FLUSH HOLD BAR LIGHTS ACROSS THE TXWY BUT HAD TO MOVE THEM BACK 30 FT. THE HOLD BAR LINES WERE MOVED BACK BUT THE LIGHTS HAVE NOT BEEN REINSTALLED. MIA HAS NOT HAD ANY OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE HOLD LINES.
