Narrative:
Cleared to land on runway 23L at kcle landed on runway 23R by mistake. Cause: accepted visual approach without runway 23L in sight. Locked on first runway I saw and didn't xchk gauges. No traffic and no near misses. Below GS when I saw airport. First officer also didn't catch mistake until too late. Solution: never accept visual without airport in sight. Do not get talked into it. Ask for vector to short final if in doubt. Let autoplt capture correct localizer before hand flying the aircraft. Xchk LNAV with localizer. Tune radios and program LNAV well in advance. Don't accept first officer's word that he/she has airport in sight.
