Narrative:

While cleared for takeoff and taxiing onto runway 36 centerline, the left engine died. After restart the engine died again and I requested permission to taxi back to the ramp due to a mechanical problem I wanted to take care of. The clearance was to taxi back to the ramp via runway 36 and txwys. After vacating the runway I asked and received permission to do a runup to determine the cause of the failure. I could not keep the engine going although engine gauges showed normal operations. Taxiing back was done on the right engine only with some difficulty. Mechanics replaced parts of the fuel system. Cause remained undetermined.
