Narrative:
We were inbound to fll on BR22V from mynn about 38 mi east of fll descending from 13000 ft to 5000 ft. ATC called VFR traffic at 1 O'clock climbing through 7000 ft. About the same time our TCASII gave us an RA to climb at 2500 FPM, which we did. The VFR aircraft passed to our right at 7600 ft as we were back up to 8800 ft. 'TCASII works.' the first officer was flying at the time this event happened and I think did a great job reacting to the TCASII RA. The other aircraft was a twin engine 6-8 place aircraft. (EST)
