Narrative:
Tower cleared us into position and hold runway 31. Prior to being in position tower asked if we could take off on the roll, traffic 2 mi final runway 22, we said yes. Runway was wet from an earlier shower engines were slow to spool up. Upon engaging autothrottles for 'toga' the takeoff warning horn sounded. Knowing that all checklists had been read and complied with, we double-checked our confign. Flaps were at 5 degrees, speed brake was down and detent and trim was at 5.7 (6.3 is limit). When we touched the trim wheel the warning stopped. At this point though (still less than 80 KTS) the decision to abort had already been made, so that more time could be spent to re-evaluate our situation. Returned to runway for normal take off.
