Narrative:
Flight departed stl for hou with all passenger and crew seats occupied. During climb, a flight attendant was surprised to see a passenger for whom no seat was available emerge from the lavatory. The passenger, who was properly ticketed, had remained in the lavatory after his empty seat was filled by the gate agent. After consulting with dispatch and other company officials, a lap child was found to open up a seat and the captain elected to continue to hou.

Title: 1 MORE PAX THAN SEATS.
Narrative: FLT DEPARTED STL FOR HOU WITH ALL PAX AND CREW SEATS OCCUPIED. DURING CLB, A FLT ATTENDANT WAS SURPRISED TO SEE A PAX FOR WHOM NO SEAT WAS AVAILABLE EMERGE FROM THE LAVATORY. THE PAX, WHO WAS PROPERLY TICKETED, HAD REMAINED IN THE LAVATORY AFTER HIS EMPTY SEAT WAS FILLED BY THE GATE AGENT. AFTER CONSULTING WITH DISPATCH AND OTHER COMPANY OFFICIALS, A LAP CHILD WAS FOUND TO OPEN UP A SEAT AND THE CAPT ELECTED TO CONTINUE TO HOU.
