Narrative:
On landing the aircraft 'porpoised.' the nose gear was damaged and the propeller sustained ground damage. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter stated that he did not know that the aircraft was damaged during the landing at tki, tx, since it was a touch and go and the aircraft sounded and performed normally. It was not until he arrived back to ads, tx, airport 20 mi away and did a post flight inspection reveal that the propeller and nose gear were damaged. He stated that he feels real bad and embarrassed about this incident since he is currently an airline pilot with approximately 22000 hours total time. However, he only had a check out and a short flight in the small sel, piper archer, PA28 non retractable geared aircraft. He has already taken instruction in like type of aircraft to improve his proficiency. He further stated that he has received a letter from the FAA proposing that he take a re- examination and possible certificate action. Upon suggestion of helping others avoid his mishap, it was suggested that he attend and speak at FAA pilot educational meetings. He is desirous of doing anything necessary to avoid having this incident hurt his airline career.

Title: PLT OF A SMA SEL LOST CTL OF THE ACFT DURING LNDG AND PORPOISED CAUSING UNKNOWN DAMAGE TO THE ACFT.
Narrative: ON LNDG THE ACFT 'PORPOISED.' THE NOSE GEAR WAS DAMAGED AND THE PROP SUSTAINED GND DAMAGE. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR STATED THAT HE DID NOT KNOW THAT THE ACFT WAS DAMAGED DURING THE LNDG AT TKI, TX, SINCE IT WAS A TOUCH AND GO AND THE ACFT SOUNDED AND PERFORMED NORMALLY. IT WAS NOT UNTIL HE ARRIVED BACK TO ADS, TX, ARPT 20 MI AWAY AND DID A POST FLT INSPECTION REVEAL THAT THE PROP AND NOSE GEAR WERE DAMAGED. HE STATED THAT HE FEELS REAL BAD AND EMBARRASSED ABOUT THIS INCIDENT SINCE HE IS CURRENTLY AN AIRLINE PLT WITH APPROX 22000 HRS TOTAL TIME.
