Narrative:

I was told 727 aircraft R-2 window was open during a rain storm. I reported to airlines operations. Inspected and found first officer audio selector panel, microphone (and) seat lower/upper cushions wet. No evidence of water under glare shield or center pedestal. Replaced required items. The aircraft was dispatched aid had an air return for WX radar inoperative. Correction was made. The aircraft was released to continue flight. My company has made verbal statements that I was the one who opened the window also the cause of the air return. In no way did I have any action in opening the window or cause the air return.
