Narrative:
On landing at traverse city the controller stated right at touchdown that we had landed without clearance. We were surprised. We heard nothing from traverse city tower from the initial switch from ZMP to traverse city tower except we heard a seneca, clear us for landing in front of us. I believe the problem was 3-FOLD. First, we should have tried to communication better. Second, traverse city tower never made contact with us after ZMP turned us over and we tried. Third, the WX was good and we had the airport from the marker. The frequency was very quiet and we didn't see or hear anyone on the frequency or on runway. We didn't see a light from the tower in case of a communication failure.
