Narrative:
On descent into bna, first officer and I were distraction due to a problem in the cabin. We were given a crossing restr at getar on the arrival. Because we both were involved discussing the problem with the #1 flight attendant, neither of us began the descent for our crossing at getar. Simple solution: the person flying the aircraft should always remain flying the aircraft and let the PNF handle the problem.
