Narrative:

First officer called for pushback on ATC clearance frequency. I didn't monitor his call. I was on interphone to tug driver. First officer advised cleared to push, so we did. ATC ground called saying 'what are you doing on my taxiway?' obviously, some miscom occurred. In the future, I will monitor the pushback frequency and calls.

Narrative: FO CALLED FOR PUSHBACK ON ATC CLRNC FREQ. I DIDN'T MONITOR HIS CALL. I WAS ON INTERPHONE TO TUG DRIVER. FO ADVISED CLRED TO PUSH, SO WE DID. ATC GND CALLED SAYING 'WHAT ARE YOU DOING ON MY TXWY?' OBVIOUSLY, SOME MISCOM OCCURRED. IN THE FUTURE, I WILL MONITOR THE PUSHBACK FREQ AND CALLS.
