Narrative:

Upon landing at st louis lambert field on runway 30R, we were cleared to hold short of taxiway P and contact ground control on 121.9. Having not flown into st louis for over a yr, I did not realize that taxiway P was between runway 30R and runway 30L. I exited runway 30R on high speed taxiway G and did not see any sign for taxiway P. Seeing other aircraft crossing runway 30L, I thought that taxiway P was on the far side of runway 30L, which is usually what the controller means at other airports when told to contact ground control. The controller assumed that I was familiar with lambert field and the ground operations there, which, in this aspect, is different than other airports. Reflecting back, I feel that if the clearance had been 'hold short of runway 30L at taxiway P' or 'hold short of taxiway P, the center field taxiway,' then I would have better understood what the controller was trying to communication. The tower supervisor told me that an ATR 42 had to go around, but there was no loss of separation.

Title: NON ADHERENCE TO ATC CLRNC UNAUTH RWY PENETRATION CAUSED ACFT GAR. RWY INCURSION.

Narrative: UPON LNDG AT ST LOUIS LAMBERT FIELD ON RWY 30R, WE WERE CLRED TO HOLD SHORT OF TXWY P AND CONTACT GND CTL ON 121.9. HAVING NOT FLOWN INTO ST LOUIS FOR OVER A YR, I DID NOT REALIZE THAT TXWY P WAS BTWN RWY 30R AND RWY 30L. I EXITED RWY 30R ON HIGH SPD TXWY G AND DID NOT SEE ANY SIGN FOR TXWY P. SEEING OTHER ACFT XING RWY 30L, I THOUGHT THAT TXWY P WAS ON THE FAR SIDE OF RWY 30L, WHICH IS USUALLY WHAT THE CTLR MEANS AT OTHER ARPTS WHEN TOLD TO CONTACT GND CTL. THE CTLR ASSUMED THAT I WAS FAMILIAR WITH LAMBERT FIELD AND THE GND OPS THERE, WHICH, IN THIS ASPECT, IS DIFFERENT THAN OTHER ARPTS. REFLECTING BACK, I FEEL THAT IF THE CLRNC HAD BEEN 'HOLD SHORT OF RWY 30L AT TXWY P' OR 'HOLD SHORT OF TXWY P, THE CTR FIELD TXWY,' THEN I WOULD HAVE BETTER UNDERSTOOD WHAT THE CTLR WAS TRYING TO COM. THE TWR SUPVR TOLD ME THAT AN ATR 42 HAD TO GAR, BUT THERE WAS NO LOSS OF SEPARATION.
