Narrative:
X received taxi clearance to runway 14R via taxiway left and taxiway B. Cross runway 17, hold short of runway 14R. Expect back taxi runway 14R. Captain starting second engine while taxiing, turned on runway 17 to back taxi. Told him he was wrong. Reply not printable. Tower called him to stop immediately and hold position. He argued with tower. After aircraft landing on runway 14L was clear, we were cleared to continue taxi to runway 14R. Captain should listen and not try to do everything himself.
