Narrative:
Flight from sna-tus-iah. On takeoff out of sna, an excessive amount of trim had to be used for nose down. Upon landing in tus, the captain made the walkaround and did not find any abnormality. This was a short turn and a full load of people were boarding. The flight attendants made a comment to the first officer about how they dislike the sna departures and thought they heard a bump on takeoff. I was not aware of this until pushback. We did not feel any bump or strike during takeoff. After a discussion with the first officer between tus and iah, I decided to do another inspection in iah. I checked the most likely spot which was the drain mast and found it to be slightly damaged. This was not noticed on walkaround in tus. Checklist was used and trim was set before takeoff in sna. Supplemental information from acn 302597: the FAA condones extraordinary measures to be taken at this particular airport for the purpose of noise abatement. The company places too much emphasis on not exceeding the noise limitations. All extraordinary noise abatement measures other than the normal, safe, quiet operation of the aircraft should be abolished forthwith, sna in particular.

Title: TAIL STRIKE ON TKOF.
Narrative: FLT FROM SNA-TUS-IAH. ON TKOF OUT OF SNA, AN EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF TRIM HAD TO BE USED FOR NOSE DOWN. UPON LNDG IN TUS, THE CAPT MADE THE WALKAROUND AND DID NOT FIND ANY ABNORMALITY. THIS WAS A SHORT TURN AND A FULL LOAD OF PEOPLE WERE BOARDING. THE FLT ATTENDANTS MADE A COMMENT TO THE FO ABOUT HOW THEY DISLIKE THE SNA DEPS AND THOUGHT THEY HEARD A BUMP ON TKOF. I WAS NOT AWARE OF THIS UNTIL PUSHBACK. WE DID NOT FEEL ANY BUMP OR STRIKE DURING TKOF. AFTER A DISCUSSION WITH THE FO BTWN TUS AND IAH, I DECIDED TO DO ANOTHER INSPECTION IN IAH. I CHKED THE MOST LIKELY SPOT WHICH WAS THE DRAIN MAST AND FOUND IT TO BE SLIGHTLY DAMAGED. THIS WAS NOT NOTICED ON WALKAROUND IN TUS. CHKLIST WAS USED AND TRIM WAS SET BEFORE TKOF IN SNA. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 302597: THE FAA CONDONES EXTRAORDINARY MEASURES TO BE TAKEN AT THIS PARTICULAR ARPT FOR THE PURPOSE OF NOISE ABATEMENT. THE COMPANY PLACES TOO MUCH EMPHASIS ON NOT EXCEEDING THE NOISE LIMITATIONS. ALL EXTRAORDINARY NOISE ABATEMENT MEASURES OTHER THAN THE NORMAL, SAFE, QUIET OP OF THE ACFT SHOULD BE ABOLISHED FORTHWITH, SNA IN PARTICULAR.
