Narrative:
After landing at pit taxi instructions were to ramp via n- N1, V-V4. At the intersection of taxiway north and runway 28R I noticed too late to stop that we were crossing the hold short line for runway 28R. I made an immediate left turn on taxiway N2 and continued taxi on N1-V-V4 to the ramp. No aircraft was approaching runway 28R -- no other aircraft operating at pit as far as I could tell. Causes: the early morning haze and low sun angle created a yellow/orange tint to everything. There was very little contrast between the yellow hold short lines and the concrete. I did not see the lines even though I was looking carefully for them. Discussion with the copilot about a caution light on final approach caused some distraction -- this was a very early morning arrival of an all night red eye -- PM40 local depart lax-- AM10 arrive lax time. Copilot distracted by rapid call to our operations. ATIS listed runway 28R as closed, but no barriers were in place, no conflict occurred.
