Narrative:

Lax to jfk. At lendy ATC advises bomb threat at ny TRACON, expect undeterminable delay. As per part 1, made radar descent then landed VFR. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated they were 20000 ft over lendy, #2 on the lendy arrival to jfk when N90 announced the bomb threat and evacuated their facility. The flight crew ahead announced to ZNY they had jfk in sight and asked to make a VFR approach to jfk. Permission was granted after a radar controled descent into N90 airspace over east long island. The reporter followed the procedure of the aircraft ahead. The reporter was the PNF and the captain was getting a line check from a company check airman. If the WX were IMC they would have diverted into phl and that option was discussed anyway. The reporter had no suggestions as the event was closed without any further considerations.
