Narrative:
I was the PF and the captain was the PNF. Approach and landing were uneventful, however after clearing the runway and in the process of switching to ground control, I noticed the radio was not tuned to the proper tower frequency. Apparently the captain forgot to switch frequencys while performing the landing check. I believe in the future that I should be more attentive of the PNF duties and make a mental note that a 'cleared-to- land' confirmation has indeed been received by both pilots.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: FLC OF AN LGT FAILED TO OBTAIN LNDG CLRNC.
Narrative: I WAS THE PF AND THE CAPT WAS THE PNF. APCH AND LNDG WERE UNEVENTFUL, HOWEVER AFTER CLRING THE RWY AND IN THE PROCESS OF SWITCHING TO GND CTL, I NOTICED THE RADIO WAS NOT TUNED TO THE PROPER TWR FREQ. APPARENTLY THE CAPT FORGOT TO SWITCH FREQS WHILE PERFORMING THE LNDG CHK. I BELIEVE IN THE FUTURE THAT I SHOULD BE MORE ATTENTIVE OF THE PNF DUTIES AND MAKE A MENTAL NOTE THAT A 'CLRED-TO- LAND' CONFIRMATION HAS INDEED BEEN RECEIVED BY BOTH PLTS.
