Narrative:

Scheduled flight from sfo to nrt, japan. During takeoff, immediately after lift off, #2 engine fire light and fire bell warning. Engine indications seemed normal, however. Nacelle temperature gauges indicated full hot. An emergency was declared with ATC (sfo tower). Straight out departure where engine shutdown and clean up was performed as per company emergency procedures. Climbed to 6000 ft MSL and commenced fuel dumping (approximately 100000 pounds). Cabin crew and passenger were briefed of situation. 3 engine landing at sfo runway 28R was normal. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated they were flying a B747-200.

Title: ON TKOF FROM SFO, AN ENG FIRE WARNING OCCURRED ON A B747-200. ACCOMPLISHED EMER PROCS FOR ENG SHUTDOWN, DECLARED AN EMER, DUMPED FUEL AND RETURNED TO LAND.

Narrative: SCHEDULED FLT FROM SFO TO NRT, JAPAN. DURING TKOF, IMMEDIATELY AFTER LIFT OFF, #2 ENG FIRE LIGHT AND FIRE BELL WARNING. ENG INDICATIONS SEEMED NORMAL, HOWEVER. NACELLE TEMP GAUGES INDICATED FULL HOT. AN EMER WAS DECLARED WITH ATC (SFO TWR). STRAIGHT OUT DEP WHERE ENG SHUTDOWN AND CLEAN UP WAS PERFORMED AS PER COMPANY EMER PROCS. CLBED TO 6000 FT MSL AND COMMENCED FUEL DUMPING (APPROX 100000 LBS). CABIN CREW AND PAX WERE BRIEFED OF SIT. 3 ENG LNDG AT SFO RWY 28R WAS NORMAL. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THEY WERE FLYING A B747-200.
