Narrative:
Upon intercept of runway 27R localizer at ord, 15 DME, saw another air carrier intercepting runway 27L localizer, overshoot, and come into our flight path, approximately 200 ft above us. Ord approach advised us that the air carrier was turning left and reintercepting runway 27L localizer and for us to continue as cleared. No TCASII advisories, and no alarms in approach control were set off. I called ord approach later and asked if there was a problem with this situation. He said -- none on record. I'm filing this report because of concern expressed by my first officer, although I have none.
