Narrative:
Sometime after my initial preflight walkaround, a baggage cart struck the r-hand wingtip. This was discovered after our first flight segment (sfo-lax). Mechanic informed flight crew there was damage to the r-hand landing light. Mechanic and I examined ramp for glass at lax. None was found. Call to sfo initiated a search for indication of damage (glass, etc). Another air carrier's baggage cart was found to have glass matching landing light lens on top.
