Narrative:

FAA alleged altitude deviation (low) at fuelr intersection on runway 25L ILS lax. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter was surprised that such a thing even took place. He was positive no crossing altitude deviation took place. He was notified by his chief pilot 3 weeks after the incident took place. He felt strongly that some change in procedure must take place to prevent this from recurring. He also felt that if the controller made a statement to the pilot when clearing him for the approach, such as 'cleared for the approach, comply with all crossing altitudes,' it would be of great help to assure a pilot of what must be done for a safe approach.
