Narrative:
In moderate air, being vectored by phl approach control to intercept localizer to runway 9R phl. While heading 130 degrees for intercept, noticed TCASII picking up another aircraft at 4300 ft. TCASII then gave a TA. We descended to 3000 ft and turned to a heading 180 degrees. No further conflict resulted. Supplemental information from acn: 346261: while being vectored for approach runway 9R phl we received a TCASII RA. We followed the directions of TCASII and climbed approximately 300 ft until the RA stopped. Aircraft were being vectored around WX which may have confused the approach controller.

Title: LTSS BTWN AN B737 AND MD80 BOTH ON VECTORS FOR THE RWY APCH. BOTH ACRS RECEIVED TCASII RA'S AND TOOK EVASIVE ACTION. OPERROR.
Narrative: IN MODERATE AIR, BEING VECTORED BY PHL APCH CTL TO INTERCEPT LOC TO RWY 9R PHL. WHILE HDG 130 DEGS FOR INTERCEPT, NOTICED TCASII PICKING UP ANOTHER ACFT AT 4300 FT. TCASII THEN GAVE A TA. WE DSNDED TO 3000 FT AND TURNED TO A HDG 180 DEGS. NO FURTHER CONFLICT RESULTED. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN: 346261: WHILE BEING VECTORED FOR APCH RWY 9R PHL WE RECEIVED A TCASII RA. WE FOLLOWED THE DIRECTIONS OF TCASII AND CLBED APPROX 300 FT UNTIL THE RA STOPPED. ACFT WERE BEING VECTORED AROUND WX WHICH MAY HAVE CONFUSED THE APCH CTLR.
