Narrative:
Aircraft cleared by operation and maintenance to fly. Upon arrival at mdw, captain became aware that time limit had been exceeded on MEL deferral. The problem appears to have been caused by the crew rushing to leave on time. Improved awareness by all parties involved will help prevent a future occurrence.

Title: CAPT OF AN LTT DISCOVERED AFTER LNDG THAT AN MEL ITEM HAD EXCEEDED DEFERRAL TIME LIMITS. THE ACFT HAD BEEN RELEASED FOR SVC BY BOTH MAINT AND OPS AT THE LAST ORIGINATION ARPT.
Narrative: ACFT CLRED BY OP AND MAINT TO FLY. UPON ARR AT MDW, CAPT BECAME AWARE THAT TIME LIMIT HAD BEEN EXCEEDED ON MEL DEFERRAL. THE PROB APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN CAUSED BY THE CREW RUSHING TO LEAVE ON TIME. IMPROVED AWARENESS BY ALL PARTIES INVOLVED WILL HELP PREVENT A FUTURE OCCURRENCE.
