Narrative:
A new maintenance logbook is due to arrive in the fleet sometime in september. Fom bulletin is forthcoming to explain the details. Changes to the engine conditioning monitoring program will also accompany the new logbook implementation. On sep/mon/04, we picked up aircraft X in ZZZ1 and noted that the new style logbook was installed. We flew the aircraft ZZZ1-ZZZ2-ZZZ. We turned the aircraft over to another flight crew in ZZZ and briefed them that the new style logbook was on board. This morning (sep/tue/04) the captain of ZZZ flight crew called to inform me that while in ZZZ and just prior to his pushback, line maintenance mechanic removed the new style logbook and xferred all information to the old style logbook and stated that the new style logbook was not approved yet and should not have been on board aircraft X.
