Narrative:

At the time was performing a nose tire change on an medium large transport. The work was being done per the company maintenance manual, for the tire change. This procedure included torquing the axle nut for the nose tire installation. In a conversation at a later date, the subject of torque on the medium large transport nose tire was discussed. At that time it was determined that the maintenance manual was incorrect on torque values for nose tire installation. This caused concern on my part and the reason behind filing this report. The aircraft had returned to service before I was aware of this discrepancy in the maintenance manual. The correct department was made aware of this discrepancy.
