Narrative:
Approaching mem, descending between multiple small cumulus clouds, hit small area of moderate clear air turbulence. Flight attendant in aft area of aircraft fell against latch on stowed food cart and scraped her back. She refused paramedics being called but sought attention at airport nurses station. The only way to avoid this type of injury is to require flight attendants to be seated any time the seat belt sign is on.
