Narrative:
Approximately 20 mi south rbl given descent to 3000 ft till crossing 9 DME fix cleared for approach (VOR runway 33). I descended through 3000 ft to 2400 ft, got call from center told I was cleared only to 3000 ft. As I was in VMC I canceled IFR and landed VFR.
