Narrative:
Approach control gave me an air carrier Y jet on ILS approach runway 17C. The approach controller also gave me aircraft X on ILS for runway 35L for low approach. Air carrier Y landed runway 17C broke out about 700 ft AGL on runway 17C. Aircraft X was on about a 3 mi final for runway 35L. WX 900 ft broken (IFR). Another controller alerted me that the operation was illegal in IFR WX. The other controller talked to TRACON supervisor and told him he thought that it was an illegal operation to run an approach to runways 35L and 17C (inside the markers) at the same time. The TRACON supervisor stated he had not observed the operation and would check on it. I did have aircraft X in sight in and out of clouds on final, but did not have air carrier Y in sight until he broke out at 700 ft AGL. I reported the situation to my supervisor around XX30 am when he arrived to work. I do not know if it has been investigated and/or results of an investigation.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: RPTED LOSS OF SEPARATION INVOLVING AN ACR ON APCH FOR RWY 17C AND ANOTHER ACFT ON APCH FOR RWY 35R WITH BOTH ACFT INSIDE THE OM'S IN IMC WX.
Narrative: APCH CTL GAVE ME AN ACR Y JET ON ILS APCH RWY 17C. THE APCH CTLR ALSO GAVE ME ACFT X ON ILS FOR RWY 35L FOR LOW APCH. ACR Y LANDED RWY 17C BROKE OUT ABOUT 700 FT AGL ON RWY 17C. ACFT X WAS ON ABOUT A 3 MI FINAL FOR RWY 35L. WX 900 FT BROKEN (IFR). ANOTHER CTLR ALERTED ME THAT THE OP WAS ILLEGAL IN IFR WX. THE OTHER CTLR TALKED TO TRACON SUPVR AND TOLD HIM HE THOUGHT THAT IT WAS AN ILLEGAL OP TO RUN AN APCH TO RWYS 35L AND 17C (INSIDE THE MARKERS) AT THE SAME TIME. THE TRACON SUPVR STATED HE HAD NOT OBSERVED THE OP AND WOULD CHK ON IT. I DID HAVE ACFT X IN SIGHT IN AND OUT OF CLOUDS ON FINAL, BUT DID NOT HAVE ACR Y IN SIGHT UNTIL HE BROKE OUT AT 700 FT AGL. I RPTED THE SIT TO MY SUPVR AROUND XX30 AM WHEN HE ARRIVED TO WORK. I DO NOT KNOW IF IT HAS BEEN INVESTIGATED AND/OR RESULTS OF AN INVESTIGATION.
