Narrative:

ATC facility: ord approach. Location: ord 040 degree radial, 20 DME. I was the PF. We were given the ILS runway 22R at ord and instructed to keep our speed high. I selected the localizer on my side and asked the PNF to select ord VOR on this side. However, the selected VOR on the PNF side was northbrook which has a frequency similar to the ord VOR. Thus, the DME used for the approach initially came from the northbrook VOR. Although the approach was rushed with a higher than normal workload, I should have idented the facility that the PNF was using in addition to my own.

Title: S80 FLC USES THE WRONG NAVAID FOR DME INFO FOR AN ORD RWY 22R ILS APCH. FO USED OBK 113 PT 0 VERSUS ORD VOR 113 PT 9. NEITHER PLT CHKED THE FREQ UNTIL INTO THE APCH.

Narrative: ATC FACILITY: ORD APCH. LOCATION: ORD 040 DEG RADIAL, 20 DME. I WAS THE PF. WE WERE GIVEN THE ILS RWY 22R AT ORD AND INSTRUCTED TO KEEP OUR SPD HIGH. I SELECTED THE LOC ON MY SIDE AND ASKED THE PNF TO SELECT ORD VOR ON THIS SIDE. HOWEVER, THE SELECTED VOR ON THE PNF SIDE WAS NORTHBROOK WHICH HAS A FREQ SIMILAR TO THE ORD VOR. THUS, THE DME USED FOR THE APCH INITIALLY CAME FROM THE NORTHBROOK VOR. ALTHOUGH THE APCH WAS RUSHED WITH A HIGHER THAN NORMAL WORKLOAD, I SHOULD HAVE IDENTED THE FACILITY THAT THE PNF WAS USING IN ADDITION TO MY OWN.
