Narrative:
I departed airport south. Tried to contact departure control 5 or 6 times while in climb, no response from ATC. TCA floor 1500-7000 ft, class B. Entered the class B airspace at 2000 ft. Upon hearing alerter in aircraft, immediately descended to 1490 ft MSL. Contacted ATC, at which time they informed me that I violated the class B. Continued flight until ATC approved climb and heading. Approach also informed me that I had crossed final approach and another aircraft made flight adjustments due to my position. I informed ATC that I had traffic in sight at all times. No further requests were made. My observation to altitude would certainly contribute to safer flight around class B areas.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: PA30 PVT PLT CLBS INTO THE N90 CLASS B AIRSPACE DURING A DELAYED CONTACT WITH DEP CTLR. THE PLT HAD MADE 5-6 ATTEMPTS TO COM WITH N90 CTLR.
Narrative: I DEPARTED ARPT S. TRIED TO CONTACT DEP CTL 5 OR 6 TIMES WHILE IN CLB, NO RESPONSE FROM ATC. TCA FLOOR 1500-7000 FT, CLASS B. ENTERED THE CLASS B AIRSPACE AT 2000 FT. UPON HEARING ALERTER IN ACFT, IMMEDIATELY DSNDED TO 1490 FT MSL. CONTACTED ATC, AT WHICH TIME THEY INFORMED ME THAT I VIOLATED THE CLASS B. CONTINUED FLT UNTIL ATC APPROVED CLB AND HDG. APCH ALSO INFORMED ME THAT I HAD CROSSED FINAL APCH AND ANOTHER ACFT MADE FLT ADJUSTMENTS DUE TO MY POS. I INFORMED ATC THAT I HAD TFC IN SIGHT AT ALL TIMES. NO FURTHER REQUESTS WERE MADE. MY OBSERVATION TO ALT WOULD CERTAINLY CONTRIBUTE TO SAFER FLT AROUND CLASS B AREAS.
