Narrative:
While administering operating experience to a new captain, after landing in low visibility conditions at grr (tower closed), I directed the operating experience captain to taxi south on taxiway F. I did this in order to avoid an area on taxiway B that was notamed closed that I thought might interfere with our taxi route to our gate. On later examination of commercial chart I noted that the maximum weight for taxiway F was 47000 pounds which we significantly exceeded. From now on when going to an airport with tower closed I will be much more thorough in reviewing all available information relative to that airport.
